A Three-Step Path to Math Fact Mastery
The 576 Math Challenge is a structured, mastery-focused math facts course designed to help students build speed, accuracy, confidence, and long-term recall with the complete set of 576 addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.

Rather than asking students to memorize hundreds of facts all at once, the course introduces them in carefully organized weekly groups and follows a consistent three-step learning cycle: Learn, Persevere, Succeed. New facts are taught directly, practiced in several different ways, and then continually reviewed alongside previously learned facts. This cumulative approach helps students strengthen older facts while adding new ones.
- Learn — Understand and become familiar with the new facts. Students begin each week with a printable fact sheet and optional flashcards. Individual teaching activities use visual models to help students connect each equation with its mathematical meaning. Students also practice the week’s facts together on a single page.
- Persevere — Practice until the facts become easier and more automatic. Students work with the same facts in multiple formats, including listening to a fact and speaking the answer, identifying missing numbers, and practicing individual facts without the pressure of a timer. The variety provides repetition without simply completing the exact same exercise again and again.
- Succeed — Demonstrate fluency and keep previously learned facts strong. Students move into cumulative review activities that combine current facts with facts from earlier weeks. Timed flashcard-style practice, listening activities, and full-page cumulative reviews encourage students to recall facts efficiently while continuing to revisit earlier material.
The course includes all four operations, providing systematic practice with the relationships between addition and subtraction and between multiplication and division. Visual models, spoken directions, voice-answer options, printable materials, untimed practice, and timed review give students several ways to interact with the same mathematical ideas.
A major feature of the 576 Math Challenge is that learning a fact is not treated as a one-time event. Facts continue to appear in cumulative practice after they are introduced. This spaced review is designed to help students move beyond short-term memorization toward dependable recall.
The course is also designed to make progress visible. Each week represents another step toward completing the full challenge, giving students manageable goals and opportunities to experience success as their fact knowledge grows.
The goal is simple: learn the facts, practice them with perseverance, and build the confidence to recall all 576 facts accurately and efficiently.
